Proforma invoices — for customs paperwork and advance payment requests

A quote and a proforma invoice solve two different problems. A quote is what you send before someone agrees to buy. A proforma invoice is what you send after — it carries the structure customs officials, banks, and letter-of-credit processes expect: incoterms, HS codes, and often bank details for an advance payment, clearly marked so it can't be mistaken for an actual demand for payment.

Fill it in the same way as any Dobydil document, download a PDF stamped 'PROFORMA INVOICE — NOT A TAX INVOICE' across the top, and when the shipment or payment is confirmed, convert it into a real invoice with one click. The proforma itself stays exactly as it was — converting creates a separate invoice record rather than rewriting history.

This one came directly from checking what a proper accounting suite actually offers for cross-border trade and noticing a genuine gap: a quote wasn't quite the right document for anyone actually shipping goods internationally.
