Setting up Google Business Profile in 10 minutes

The setup, step by step
Go to google.com/business and sign in
Use a Google account dedicated to your business if you can, rather than a personal one.
Enter your exact business name
Use the exact same name everywhere — your invoices, your website, your signage. Inconsistent naming can get a listing suspended.
Choose your business category
Pick the closest match to what you actually do — this determines which searches you show up for.
Add your location, or your service area
Have a shop or office? Add the address. Work at customers' locations instead? List the areas you serve.
Add your phone number and website
No website yet? Skip this for now — it won't block you from finishing setup.
Verify your business
Google usually mails a postcard with a verification code — this can take a couple of weeks, so start early.
Add photos
A handful of real, clear photos build more trust than almost anything else on the profile.
